Growth Marketer Job Description Template

A Growth Marketer owns the full acquisition and activation funnel, using data-driven experimentation to find and scale channels that drive sustainable growth. They are hands-on, fast-moving, and comfortable operating across paid, organic, product, and lifecycle marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, test, and scale new acquisition channels (paid, SEO, partnerships, product-led)
  • Design and run structured A/B experiments across ads, landing pages, and onboarding flows
  • Manage paid media budgets across Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn
  • Analyse funnel data to identify conversion drop-offs and prioritise experiments
  • Work with engineering and product on growth loops and referral mechanisms
  • Report weekly on acquisition metrics: CAC, MQLs, trial signups, and activation rate

Requirements

  • 2+ years in a growth marketing, performance marketing, or demand generation role
  • Hands-on experience running paid campaigns across Google, Meta, or LinkedIn
  • Strong analytical skills: SQL or Google Sheets proficiency, experience with attribution models
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools (HubSpot, Segment, Mixpanel)
  • Scrappy, self-starting mindset with a bias for action and experimentation

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a PLG (product-led growth) SaaS company
  • Background in email lifecycle marketing and drip campaigns
  • Knowledge of SQL for building custom cohort analyses
