People Operations Manager Job Description Template

Responsibilities

  • Maintain HR compliance: employee records, contracts, right-to-work, and policy documentation
  • Build and automate people processes to improve efficiency and employee experience
  • Support payroll processing in partnership with finance

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR operations or people operations experience
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (BambooHR, Workday, Rippling, or similar)
  • Strong process design skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of employment law fundamentals and HR compliance requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer service orientation

Nice to Have

  • Experience implementing a new HRIS from scratch
  • Background in payroll administration
  • Familiarity with international employment practices
