Product Designer Job Description Template

Responsibilities

  • Lead design from discovery through delivery: user research, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI

  • Create high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes in Figma
  • Collaborate closely with PMs and engineers to ensure designs are feasible and well-implemented
  • Contribute to and maintain the design system
  • Participate in design critiques and give constructive feedback to peers

Requirements

  • 3+ years of product design experience at a SaaS or tech company
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work
  • Expert proficiency in Figma
  • Solid understanding of interaction design, accessibility (WCAG), and design systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous problems

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing for data-heavy or enterprise B2B products
  • Basic front-end knowledge (HTML/CSS) to collaborate effectively with engineers
  • Background in design research or UX writing
